Rotary kiln overview

 

Rotary kiln refers to rotary calcining kiln, belonging to building materials equipment category. Rotary kiln can be divided into cement kiln, metallurgical chemical kiln and lime kiln according to different processing materials.
Cement kiln is mainly used for calcining cement clinker, divided into two major categories: dry cement kiln production and wet production cement kiln. Metallurgical and chemical kiln is mainly used for magnetization roasting of poor iron ore in the iron and steel industry of the metallurgical industry; oxidation roasting of chromium and nickel iron ore; roasting of high-alumina bauxite mines in refractory plants; roasting of clinker in aluminum plants; aluminum hydroxide; roasting chromium ore in chemical plants And chrome ore powder and other minerals.
Lime kiln (active lime kiln) is used for roasting active lime and light-burned dolomite used in steel plants and ferroalloy plants.

1. The axial movement of the cylinder is controllable. The kiln shell body is made of high-quality calm steel plate welding. The cylinder body is supported on the support device of the 2-7th sliding bearing through the wheel belt, and a mechanical or hydraulic retaining wheel is provided on one or several retaining devices. The axial turbulence of the cylinder can be flexibly controlled.
2. Flexible speed. The transmission rotates the cylinder at the required speed through a ring gear provided in the middle of the cylinder.
3. Easy installation and maintenance. The larger kiln is equipped with an auxiliary transmission that rotates the cylinder at a very low speed to meet the needs of installation and maintenance.
4. Good sealing performance. In order to prevent the entry of cold air and smoke dust overflowing the cylinder body, reliable kiln tail and kiln head sealing devices are provided at the feeding end (tail) and the discharging end (head) of the cylinder body.

Rotary kiln working principle


Rotary kiln is a cylindrical object with a certain slope, the slope is 3 ~ 3.5%, with the aid of the rotation of the kiln to promote the material in the rotary kiln (rotary kiln) stirring, the materials are mixed with each other, contact with reaction. Pulverized coal combustion in the kiln head generates a large amount of heat, and the heat is transmitted to the material by the radiation of the flame, the convection of the hot gas, and the conduction of the kiln brick (kiln skin). Material depends on the slope of the kiln shell and the kiln's rotation to move forward in the kiln.
